Current Volunteer Opportunities

First off, I want to extend my sincere gratitude to everyone that contributed to the Cape Coral High School Beautification project.  As a group of over a hundred strong, we successfully planted nearly 60 trees spanning the schools northern property boundary, and ensured the future quality of the school’s campus for next generation.  We should all be very proud!

I want to extend a special thanks to our corporate sponsors that donated time and materials for the project.  Without their contributions this project would not have been possible, so THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to

Dan deMont from Juniper Landscaping, Rick Kruszewski from Sunnygrove Landscaping, and Leigh Gevelinger from Coastal Vista Design, Inc, Manheim Fort Myers, Black Business Solutions, Anova Furnishings, St. John XXIII,  the Florida Association of Landscape Architects and Future Architects of America  for your very generous donations to Keep Lee County Beautiful. It was a better project because you were involved.

I would also Like to thank the following members of the Lee County School System  for their support of the project: Mary Fischer , Dr. Jeff Spiro, Elizabeth Kominar and Lori Shaw.  It took your vision and leadership to make this project a reality.

Lastly, to the civic-minded students that designed the project, and gave up a beautiful SWFL Saturday morning to learn about trees and Landscape Architecture…I hope that you had as much fun as we did!

The second phase of the project will continue later this year with another planting day in April.  Details to follow…   Thanks again!

Help the students of Cape Coral High School stay cool this summer by supporting their street tree planting project.  The student designed streetscape aims to plant nearly 200 trees around the school in an effort to beautify their community, support the City of Cape Coral Tree City USA designation, and promote the school as a safe and comfortable community gathering place.

Thank you to our Sponsors!
