Adopt A Shore

To change attitudes and behavior of the public toward littering Florida’s waterways and shorelines and protecting natural marine resources through the use of volunteer litter removal groups.

 

Cigarette Litter Prevention

When it ends up on the ground and not in a receptacle, a cigarette butt is litter. KLCB is working in communities throughout Lee County to combat this problem.

 

Storm Drain Marking

Only rain should go down our storm drains. Everything that enters our storm drain system empties directly into our streams, rivers, lakes and bays. This is an awareness program that  will remind residents not to  pollute our waterways.

 

Youth Advisory Council

The youth of today are the voice and actions of tomorrow. Members selected to this council will not only become leaders in their community they will also contribute to the program development of KLCB.

 

 

 

Leave the Scene Clean Calendar Art Contest

Help send a yearlong message to Lee County citizens by producing a drawing or painting on the theme of "Leave The Scene Clean."

 

Drive It Home

The Florida Department of Transportation has unveiled the state's official media campaign to reduce roadside littering. "Drive It Home . . . Keep Our Paradise Litter-Free"

 

Recycling Information

Recycling mines valuable materials out of garbage to make new products. That's what makes it one of the oldest environmental practices and one of the most beneficial.

 

Student Ambassador Program

Provides an exciting hands-on work and learn opportunity. Students are trained in leadership skills, problem solving, teamwork and professional communication. They will use this training to represent KLCB at various events.
